IT’S TIME TO ADDRESS EHS!
Our high school has served us well for 88 years but it is past time to address safety and compliance issues. Students and teachers with disabilities or injuries have never been able get to classrooms and labs on the second and third floors. Restrooms are located only on the first floor which creates safety issues and decreases instructional time. With increasing rigor in the state-mandated curriculum, our students deserve and need every resource and every minute of teaching and learning.
This bond provides:
- Elevator access to all 3 floors
- New restrooms on all 3 floors.
- New accessibility ramp at the front entry for students, teachers and visitors.
- New Disability and Visitor parking spots
Modern learning spaces will provide new areas for individual and group learning with specialized furniture and increased access to technology. Two new Science labs and two new computer labs give our students state-of-the-art digital tools. The current electrical load is insufficient to support modern classrooms and learning tools so this bond includes new wiring and electrical panels.
Our historic building will be enhanced with new interior paint, carpet and tile. This bond includes new energy-efficient windows and doors which saves money on operating expenses, putting more money back into the classroom. A renovated courtyard and new sidewalks will provide safe, inviting spaces for students and community.

Protect our teachers and students from modern-day threats. New secure entrance with one main point of entry, new intercom system, surveillance cameras, and fire alarms are included.
PROVIDE $300,000 PER YEAR FOR STUDENT PROGRAMS & NEW BUSES
Over the years, EISD addressed capital improvements and large maintenance projects by taking out loans thru the Maintenance & Operations budget. Consolidating and paying off those old loans provides more than $300,000 EACH YEAR going forward that can be used for new and expanded student programs such as:
- Elementary & Middle School Science
- Career & Technology Course Upgrades in Ag & Culinary for supplies and facilities
- Fine Arts & Band Instrument Replacements
- Staff Development Programs
- New Buses

LOWEST TAX RATE IN REGION
Eastland ISD has one of the lowest tax rates in our region. Even with the passage of the EISD bonds, our tax rate will stay well below the rates of many of our neighboring districts.
